Full Steam Ahead
Preserved locomotives 9017 Earl of Berkeley and 3440 City of Truro are shown departing from Bewdley, Severn Valley Railway, on 20th September 2008. At that time this coupling was a very rare sight, and is unlikely to be seen again since both locomotives have been out of use for many years.
Catching The Token
The fireman reaches for the single line token at Bewdley, Severn Valley Railway, on 20th September 2019. The locomotive is 34027 'Taw Valley'.
Heaven Bound
This strange looking church is at Baabe, on the Baltic island of Rügen, and was photographed on 17th August 2005.

Originally photographed in colour on 21st September 2012 , loco no. 5164 leaves Hampton Loade with a train for Bridgnorth.
A Complete Washout
Taken on 26/9/1980, this is South African Railways' class 19D no.3351 receiving a boiler washout at the Queenstown depot.

Taken on 2/12/1987, this is a view inside the hot rolling mill at Wuhan Iron and Steel Works.
Back To The Fifties
This image shows class T9 no.120 climbing from Bodmin Parkway to Bodmin General on 8.9.2012. Normally housed at the National Railway Museum at York, it was loaned to the Bodmin & Wenford Railway for their Autumn Steam Gala.

A Sea View To Remember
Taken on transparency film in 1980, this is the 06.55 goods train from George to Knysna crossing the famous Kaaimans River Bridge. The line closed in 2006 following severe landslides in this regio of South Africa.

This image features a locomotive leaving Grosmont on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. It was on its first outing following repairs, hence the 'full regulator'. Its name is 'Repton', after the public school.
